Sorin was born in California and grew up in the Pacific Northwest. She completed her undergrad in biochemistry at New College of Florida. After graduating in 2018, she joined the Kewalramani group at NCI where she studied the role of the capsid in HIV infection. In March 2022 she joined the Boulant Lab where her project is focused on the role of physiologic hypoxia in innate immune responses in the gut. In her free time, she likes to go out for coffee with her wife and make pottery.
